De2: Debian Depok (iso)

De2 (dibaca dede) merupakan sebuah distribusi GNU/Linux. Daftar nama paket ada di http://de2.vLSM.org/Package-List.txt atau lengkapnya di http://de2.vLSM.org/dists/stable/de2/binary-i386/Packages.gz. Jika merasa tidak cocok, juga terdapat sebuah skript untuk memilih paketnya, serta membuat sendiri CDROM imagenya!

De2 dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi mutakhir sebesar 80 Mbytes yang bersumber dari proyek LDP (termasuk Linux HOWTO) dan Debian. Salinan dokumen tersebut dapat juga dinikmati melalui http://de2.vlsm.org/sdn/ atau mirror terdekat dengan anda seperti http://www.sdn.or.id/.

Proyek De2 tidak mengandalkan sumber dana eksternal, sehingga tidak mudah "bubar". Kalau pun bubar, para pengguna tidak akan kapiran, sebab De2 dibuat kompatibel dengan distro Debian GNU/Linux.

Sistem pemeliharaannya dibuat semi otomatis, sehingga setiap minggu dapat terbit sebuah "bootable binary" CDROM image (de2.iso). Image biner tersebut, kini dilengkapi dengan dua "source code" CDROM image yaitu "de2-src1.iso" dan "de2-src2.iso". Untuk info lanjut, silakan mengintip:
